Just for a change, this is not one of my rants about talentless reality stars or the like.
The talentless whore subject of this post is ME.
I have submitted our entry to the Red Bull Flugtag 2008.
For those of you who don't already know and who are too lazy to check the link, this is an event where idiots with too much time on their hands
create "Flying Machines"(Winged deathtraps) and then launch thamselves from an elevated platform in London's Hyde Park landing (crashing) into the serpentine.
It takes place on the 7th June and seems like a great way to celebrate the re-launch (re - launch, get it? launch, off the platform, re-launch? Oh, forget it) of your favourite station. What better way to immortalise the station than the senseless and untimely death of its founder in an ill thought out suicidal publicity stunt?
One with an afterparty, that's what!
For any of you who fancy making the trip to Hyde Park, I'm also planning to have a bit of a do in the London-ish area to properly
celebrate the relaunch and get underway with the inaugural Revolution Radio Showcase Gig.
Venue will be announced closer to the time and the line up will be fucking awesome!
Yours Truly will be spinnin' up some big phat choons Revolution styleeee and the whole thing will be a blast!
You're all welcome and it would be great to get some support both for the 'Flight' and for the launch party.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot. The theme wil be music (natch) and the craft will be styled to resemble a guitar ( a Flying V of course)
merch packs will be handed out to random passers by with big hooters so anyone wanting any stuff included had better email me soon.
There will be advertising space on the craft and if any of you can think of anyone who might want to buy some space, put us in touch.
The more the better. I will speak to Seags to see if there is a Rocksynchrony this year.
If not, I'll sort out the charity side later.(all gotta do our bit for charriddy mate).
